Simone Smelt is an Amsterdam-based furniture and object designer, and a graduate of the Design Academy Eindhoven. Her work explores the space between sculpture and functionality, creating furniture that feels architectural, tactile, and quietly expressive.

With a strong focus on form, colour and material, Simone designs objects that balance bold simplicity with everyday usability. Her approach combines intuitive experimentation with circular design principles, resulting in pieces that are both visually distinctive and made to last.

As a Product Designer at FÉST, Simone designs and develops contemporary furniture collections that combine everyday comfort with a strong visual identity. Her designs reflect FÉST’s optimistic spirit: accessible, colourful and made to be lived with for years to come.
